Hi friends,
I know I usually stick to my bi-weekly posting schedule, but I’ve got something exciting to share with you today!
The lovely
of Quietly Courageous interviewed me for her Human Design podcast! We had such an interesting conversation, and Sarah is a delight to chat with. She’s so knowledgeable about Human Design and her passion for talking about it shines through. I learned so much from her in just the short time we talked! You can listen to the episode here:

Human Design can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it has been such an impactful tool in helping me to understand myself better, which has ultimately led me to be more accepting of myself and to treat myself with more kindness. In my latest post, I wrote about how understanding my Human Design has helped me find the self-care practices that work best for me. You can read that here:

From My Shelf to Yours
Every Summer After by Carley Fortune | Published in 2022
This story centres on Persephone Fraser and Sam Florek, and the summers they share at the lake while growing up. Percy and Sam are inseparable for 6 summers at Barry’s Bay until she makes a horrible mistake that ends their relationship. Twelve years later Percy receives a call that brings her back to Barry’s Bay and face-to-face with Sam. Can she finally tell Sam the truth? Will he forgive her? Can she even forgive herself?
My Thoughts
I adored this book and couldn’t put it down! I loved the way the two timelines were handled, and the characters were just so humanly flawed and loveable. The way the characters acted at different ages throughout middle school and high school felt authentic and true to the ages they were. As someone who spent a lot of summers at the lake growing up, the setting felt so familiar to me and I loved it. The little touches of Canadiana were fun, too!
19 Canadian books to check out during Black History Month 2024. A great interview with Tia Williams on her recently published novel. So many reasons to pick up a hobby! You should get yourself a book boyfriend. Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time: Scammy AI-Generated Book Rewrites Are Flooding Amazon.
