I love that the women you chose to honor are your mom and grandmothers! I am going to be a grandma in two months, so I especially am getting inspiration from grandma stories right now. Thank you, Cassandra, this was a beautiful tribute on IWD!
Lovely memories. I’m also a puzzler (my most recently completed one is actually the James Joyce one from the same series as your Jane Austin one). And for me too that has a grandmother link - my dear Nan always had one on the go on the table in her front room. By coincidence it was actually her birthday on IWD - she’d have been 104 years old this year. So special to honour those we’ve loved and lost 💖
I have some wonderful memories of your grandma Carole. Her and Bob were such good friends with my mom and dad. Carole loved family. She could be very outspoken and said it like it is! I loved that. Her and mom got together over coffee at our kitchen table. Always laughing and sharing stories and usually giving the men crap. Lol. She was a very special lady. 💖

Oh that's so exciting, Cherie! I'm glad you enjoyed the post. 🥰
What a great tribute 💚
Your mom shared her almond thumbprint cookie recipe years ago and it’s still one of my favourites!
Sitting in the quiet, drinking a cup of coffee, and reading your writing this morning is so heart-fillingly happy! Thank you Cassandra!
I have so many women to be thankful for! You are helping me take time to reflect!
Ooo that thumbprint recipe is a good one! Thank you for the kind words Amy. ❤️

Oh so lovely to hear that you shared puzzling with your Nan and still enjoy it! It's such a calming way to pass the time.
What wonderful memories. I love the vivid picture you painted of each of these very special women.
Thank you Louise! 😊

Thank you for sharing Nona! I love hearing stories about her. And I think I got a bit of her "say it like it is" for better or worse, ha!
