I just finished The Song of Achilles, which makes me want to read A Thousand Ships! Also, I loved Anne of Green Gables growing up 💛 Another Galentine's series that came to mind is The Sisterhood of The Traveling pants. It's YA, but it's good!
Ooo A Thousand Ships would make a great followup to The Song of Achilles! Reading it felt kinda like watching the movie Troy but if it focused on the women. And I've never read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books but I can totally see them being a perfect fit for Galentine’s!
I love that it's from the women's perspective! That's honestly where my mind was going when I read The Song of Achilles. I kept wondering why on earth they would continue to fight this fruitless battle for so long 😅
I'm currently reading Anne of Green Gables for the first time (I have the gorgeous puffin in bloom edition as well!) and having the absolute time of my life. I needed Anne when I was younger, but I'm so glad to have her now. I definitely also recommend it as a gift!
Oh how exciting to be experiencing Anne for the first time! I re-read the whole series during the height of the pandemic and it was exactly the comforting nostalgia I needed. I just love Anne's imagination and L.M. Montgomery’s descriptions of nature and the seasons.

Yes! It's so beautifully done. I can't wait to read the rest of the series as well!
