Love these photos! The one of the heron is gorgeous. Also love the book club idea! It can be so hard to find a single book everyone likes, this sounds like a great way to get everyone engaged, I’ll have to try it 🤗
It's a lot of fun! For the in-person book club I lead, we mix it up. Some months we all read the same book and some months we pick a theme. It keeps things interesting!
We did a "choose your own adventure" book club for a few while, where we picked a theme and then chose our own book and it worked really well! It's great for taking a little of the book club admin off the plate when you are in a busy stage of life. Before that, we voted on books and ended up reading too many depressing books for our stage of life and political era in the US.
Choose your own adventure is a great way to describe it! And yes, I agree, it definitely helps relieve some of the book club admin. The in-person club I lead tends to do a mix of both. This month was Agatha Christie month so I put 3 of her novels up for a vote, but last month the theme was mythology and everyone picked their own books.

Thank you! Yes, it's such a fun twist on choosing books for a book club! Your TBR definitely grows after hearing what the other members have read!
Thanks for the book recommendation! Sounds interesting! And your photos are fun.
Thank you for reading! ☺️
I really like the idea of a “theme” book club!
