I've been hearing the title God of The Woods everywhere, I might need to check it out! I also love a jigsaw puzzle. I do them with my father-in-law who even has a special puzzling hat with a built-in light so he can better see the pieces 😆
You're reminding me I have puzzles that need puzzling! I've also been reading and taking more walks when the weather is nice. You know how unpredictable Prairie Springtime is, have to enjoy the nice days in case it snows the next!
Totally, you never know what you'll get March to May in the prairies! Good to take advantage of those nice days, and then break out those puzzles for the not-so-nice ones!
Great advice/reminder in these trying times in the States especially. Very well-timed. Try to do that on the daily. Thanks for the comedy rec. Who couldn't use some laughs. Just returned from 3 days visiting deal old friends from our child/teenage years. So many sweet memories revisited and tons of laughs. New memories made. So good for the soul.
I’m getting out up the mountain (I’m in the BC interior) at least once a week, and spending more time outside. I love that the green is finally returning. It soothes my soul!
Agreed! I'm originally from the prairies, but we live on Van Island now, and spring here is just the best with everything in bloom! It feels like the earth is waking up. ☺️
I've mostly been knitting/crocheting the last couple of weeks. I finished quite a few projects recently which has helped me continue to use some of my spring energy while our household has been sick.
I recently went through almost every episode of the Feminist Survival Project podcast by Emily and Amelia Nagoski, and it's been so helpful for me.
We did our first Cobble Hill puzzle a few months ago. So nice!
Chaos is the name of the game these days, it seems. I feel like we are in the sprint to the end of the school year for my kids, so I would like to make some space for slow, peaceful experiences at home. Maybe puzzle time would be good for us, too.
Puzzling really does help us slow down! I'm not sure how old your kids are, but Cobble Hill makes "Family Pieces" puzzles where different sections of the puzzle have smaller or larger pieces. So the kids could work on a section made up of the larger pieces and you could work on the more challenging smaller pieces. Such a neat way for everyone to be involved!
Oh, I didn't know about the Family Pieces puzzles! I will keep that in mind for family gifts--although my two are big kids, sometimes I feel *I* would be the one needing the larger pieces. haha!

😲😲 I might need to get one of those for my mom!!
You should, it would make a great gift! I'm pretty sure the one he has is this one: https://a.co/d/24K9cSh
Ooo thank you!

Glad to hear you had such a good visit! ☺️
In the US, you should be able to find Deli Boys on Hulu or Disney+, I think!

Would love to be on the Island, or the UK - my heart needs more green!

It's such a great feeling to finish project like that! Hope everyone is on the mend.
Thank you for the rec! I'll check that one out—love the name!
